Do you have to answer a riddle to get into the Ravenclaw common room?
It is located in Ravenclaw Tower and it is protected by a door without a doorknob or keyhole, but a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. In order to enter the room, you must answer a riddle asked by the eagle knocker.

Intensely intelligent, Ravenclaws are also unique and think outside the box. This is usually a good thing, unless by 'thinking outside the box' you mean stealing other wizards' stories and erasing their memories, like a certain Ravenclaw called Gilderoy Lockhart.
The password to the Slytherin common room is "pure blood," the unchanging house philosophy, as opposed to the Gryffindor word, always quirky and often changing.

Rowena Ravenclaw

Is Ravenclaw loyal?
Ravenclaws are LITERALLY the only house where Loyalty in some form isn't in our traits (Slytherin = Loyal to themselves, Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs have it written out!) I think one of the welcome letters actually talks about how Ravenclaws will compete amongst each other rather than help one another.
